We are pleased to announce that during the summer months our shop will remain open for an extra hour on Saturdays. You can now shop from 9.00 am until 1.00pm.
In 2025 we will be starting a new initiative of community sausage sizzles on Saturdays. More details later.
Each month we have a Community Donation Day when we give the money raised in our shop that day to a local organisation that is helping people in our community. This is part of our goal to respond to community needs. We like to think money raised in this community is spent locally to assist local people.
If you are part of a not-for-profit group helping others in our community, get in touch. We may be able to help you too.
Recently we helped a local resident who needed an assistance dog and we are pleased that she now has him and is busy training.
We also helped Steps Forward with a new laptop for a new staff member. Thanks to the customers of our shop for making these donations possible.
Sustainable Orewa is planning to extend its community garden on our 216 site. Contact them if you are interested in getting involved.
HBC Grandparents Parenting Grandchildren has moved its uniform shop to the Manly Methodist Church on Whangaparaoa Road almost opposite the fire station. Check their Facebook page for opening hours.
